Incepted in April 2017 and originating from Malaysia, Ah Mah Homemade Cake is a purveyor of castella cakes. In just three months, the brand sold 100,000 boxes of its cakes. Inspired by the popular egg sponge cakes originating from Tamsui (Danshui), Taiwan, Chef Jim has adapted the traditional recipe and put a local twist on it.
The soft, melt-in-your-mouth cakes are made with natural ingredients and baked freshly on the spot every day.

All the cakes are freshly made every day on the spot, and each batch is lovingly baked for about 40 minutes. To ensure absolute freshness and maintenance of quality, Ah Mah Homemade Cake bakes its cakes daily and replaces every batch with a fresh one after every 12 hours.

The Grade AA high-quality, locally produced eggs are procured from Singapore’s N&N farm, which helps to ensure that every egg remain fresh for the baking of the cakes. The cakes at Ah Mah are a healthier choice as they are made purely with milk, high quality eggs and flour. No water, preservative nor colouring is added.
