6 light, fluffy castella cakes to enjoy in Singapore

Ah Mah Homemade Cake | Malaysian castella cake chain Ah Mah Homemade Cake has, in less than half a year, already opened 10 outlets in Singapore. It's a testament to the quality of their product. While they offer the standard castella flavours such as Original($8) and Cheese($11), we really love their Rocky Choc cake($13), which contains a mixture of dark chocolate and milk chocolate chips.

Their chocolate version stands out in comparison to Original Cake’s Frozen Chocolate Cake thanks to its richer flavour. The Rocky Choc is iight and fluffy, has a distinct chocolatey taste, and yet does not come across as overly sweet. You can eat half a slab without any sign of queasiness setting in.

Out of all the stalls/cafes selling castella cakes, Ah Mah is probably the one that innovates most with flavours. They have several locally-inspired ones, such as Pandan and Milo Dinosaur, which are currently only available at their T4 outlet. They most recently launched Sunny Orange, which is light and refreshing, as well as the heavier Kopi Siu Dai.
